Kandyland: Creating something different to make a difference

Kandyland: Creating something different to make a difference

Here at the Karma Foundation, we find it interesting and beneficial to reflect on our events after the hype of planning and execution has subsided, as well as considering the thoughts and opinions of those who attended. This year’s Kandyland, the first outside of the Playboy Mansion, was incredibly successful, and we are proud of the event we produced, especially considering the initial $25,000+ raised for the beneficiary, Generation Rescue.

As we have described ourselves in the past, the Karma Foundation does not run charity events – we run events that benefit charities. These events are designed to excite, garner a worldwide appeal, generate awareness, and create an exclusive environment, all to benefit a worthy cause or charity.

This year’s Kandyland was everything the Karma Foundation and our guests hoped it would be: socially responsible, yet lavish and sensational; charitable, yet themed and dynamic. And Kandyland is just one of the wide variety of events we host – we also host more modest events, including networking cocktail mixers, mansion socials, yachting socials, dinner parties and more. Kandyland may have its critics but it’s important that our critics understand that the event sits on one end of the spectrum: a rare and unique opportunity for creative, successful men and women from around the world to be whatever they want to be – dress up, feel sexy, be over-the-top – in a protected, safe, environment. And to know that all that fun is for a good cause.

The Karma Foundation’s goal, as with all of our events, is to create a unique, fun atmosphere that instills a lasting impression for our guests, regardless of age or gender (two of our executive’s mothers have attended numerous Kandy Events). If our events, whether it’s a Kandy Event or a Karma Foundation event, encourage people to donate time and funds to a worthy organization when they otherwise wouldn’t, we’ve accomplished our goal.

To lend your thoughts on our most recent event, Kandyland 2012, or any other Kandy Event, please send us your comments, post on our Facebook wall, or tweet at @KandyEvents .
